Distribution:  South America: Paraguay River basin, middle ParanĂ¡ River basin in Argentina, and the Uruguay River basin.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Eggs are deposited on the ceiling of caves and are tendered primarily by the female parent (Ref. 47893).
