Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6.5 - 6.6; dH range: 12, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: lower and middle Congo River basin (Republic of Congo and Democratic Republic of the Congo)(Ref. 47461).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in brooks, swamps and pools in the rainforest (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish. Is easy to maintain in the aquarium (Ref. 27139).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 16 February 2009 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
