Distribution:  South America: Essequibo River in Guyana (Ref. 38376). Reported from Suriname River basins (Ref. 59052), Venezuela (Ref. 28768) and French Guiana (Ref. 12225).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Very rare. Occurs in the headwaters of basins (Ref. 12225).
