Remarks Found on the continental shelf (Ref. 75154). Feeds on fish and invertebrates (Ref. 5578). Inhabits shallow, sandy waters close to coral reefs and coastal lagoons. Hides beneath sand patches in small caves or under reef ledges (Ref. 9773). Observed to be demersal (Ref. 129713).
