Comments: Type locality, Essequibo River basin, Lower Potaro River at Amatuk, CAS 72246 (holotype of Sternarchorhynchus freemani, 20.1 cm TL, male). Known only from locations in the lower portions of the Essequibo River basin (Ref. 84053).
