Remarks | The 'accaare' is considered one of the sorcerer fishes because of its ability to sense the changes in the water level, leaving the flood pool to migrate to the river once the water level stops increasing (Mamadou Mamou Bathily). Nobody has ever caught a large 'accaare' in flood pools'. Of all the fishes in the river, it is the 'accaare' and the 'ditiine' which know the ways of the water most (Demba Traoré). |
