Remarks 'Bonite' from Low Latin, word from the South East probably borrowed from Spanish 'bonito' (p. 97 in Ref. 9404); 'à dos rayé', i.e., striped back: 'dos', i.e., back, from Latin slang 'dossum' from Classical Latin 'dorsum' (p. 244 in Ref. 9404); a'rayé', i.e., with lines , from Gallic 'rica' and Low Latin 'riga', i.e., lines, rays (p. 628 in Ref 9404).
