| Quote | Bamber's (1915) and Saunders' (1968) reports of this species as Mugil smithii and M. troscheli respectively from the Red Sea were apparently misidentifications. Therefore Thomson & Luther (1984) did not include the Red Sea in the distribution map of this species. Based on the old records, Randall (1995) mentioned it from the Red Sea. |
